Good afternoon members and guests, We are on the final stretch of the season. The weather has been very cooperative this fall which has enabled golfers to continue to enjoy our outstanding conditions. With only two weeks left before the course will be closed for the season, there is lots of golf left to play. Since this will be the last bulletin of the year, I would like to take this opportunity to thank my entire team for a job well done. We had significant uncertainty at the beginning of the year and had to implement many procedures to keep our staff, members, and guests safe and our team performed exceptionally. Our Turfcare team has the golf course in amazing condition this year, and they made significant improvements to ensure golfers experienced the best possible conditions. Without the hard work and dedication of all team members, we would not have had such a successful year, great job team.
Closing Date - October 18, 2020. We will be preparing the golf course for the winter starting October 19, 2020.
September 50/50 Winner - Mr. Phil Crawford was the winner of the September 50/50 draw, he took home $1303.50. Congratulation Phil. We look forward to restarting the monthly draws next season.
Early Bird Memberships - We currently have 11 new members that took advantage of the early-bird membership drive. Welcome to the club.
Pro Shop Clothing - All shirts and hats in the Pro Shop are 30% off while inventory lasts. See our friendly pro shop team for more details.
Members Match Play by Body Building Depot- Congratulations to Chad Dooley our 2020 Match Play Champion. He had a great match against Mark Eckersall the runner-up. Thank you to Body Building Depot for your support.
In closing, I would also like to personally thank our members and guests for a great year. As stated, we had to implement many new procedures this year that were COVID related as well as some operational changes to ensure our club operated efficiently and effectively. Change is never easy, and it was critical that change took place. The changes were embraced, with only a few exceptions.
I am very proud of the results this year. While the club still has some areas to focus on, we now have processes in place which will set the club up for success going forward, as our year-end financials will indicate. With that said, I will not be returning to the club in the 2021 season as the General Manager. I wish my successor well and I am confident that we now have a foundation that will enable a qualified individual to succeed in the role. Thank you, Todd Read BSc. BSc.
