2019 Junior Program Windup Tournament

Our first Annual Junior Program Windup Tournament was a tremendous success. We had 23 young golfers and 25 parents and instructors participate in our inaugural tournament.

The young golfers were very excited as they started showing up at noon for the 2 PM shotgun start. Many were practicing before they enjoyed their complimentary hot dog, fries, and a fountain drink.

The front nine was set up with our Junior Tee's, which had hole lengths of 60 to 156 yards. The 48 golfers finished the 9-hole round in a record 90 minutes. It was very rewarding to watch these young golfers display the skills they learned.

In fact, one of our junior golfers got a hole-in-one on hole #1 from 70 yards with his family there to watch, congratulations Rhett Booker.

On behalf of the entire instructor team, I want to thank each junior golfer for participating each week with a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. We look forward to seeing you at our final session for this summer on Tuesday, August 27.

At the conclusion of this years program, we will begin working on next years program.

I would also like to personally thank my fellow instructors Lauren Koenig, Mark Koenig, Dana and Monica Rieder, Tyler Sadler, Mike Sherven, Brady Deboice, and Doug Braithwaite for their dedication and support this summer.

We would like to thank the Redcliff Lions Club, Cancarb, Tutti Frutti, Ruckers, Who's Your Caddy, Margaret Blades, Sharon Kirvan, and Denise Booker for sponsoring our Junior Program.

Thank you,

Todd Read
